Why are we learning something that isn't true?
Book Launch Day!
The #1 New Release
The Sons of God went live at midnight Greenwich Mean Time, which here on the American East Coast was 9 o'clock yesterday evening. It started the morning around #55,000 in the Amazon "Books" category and was unlisted in any sub-categories.
I believe credit for the first purchase went to my cousin Hannah Fichtner, who is currently in Germany.
We just got done with the Book Launch Party at my home, and are now sitting on the follow stats:
- #1 New Release in Biblical Fiction
- #1 New Release in Christian Historical Fiction
- #4 Bestseller in Biblical Fiction
- Jumped from #55,000 in Books to #14,290 (which still sounds pretty low but means it jumped ahead of 40,710 other books...)
I confess I don't really understand how Amazon's algorithms work, but i would say that is a pretty strong opening day!
If you'd like to help move the book up, you can purchase the book on Amazon and leave a review.
Thank you to everyone who has helped me make this a success, especially all the people who had the patience to read early drafts, those who came to the launch party today, and everyone who has purchased a copy already.
To keep me humble, divine providence ensured there was a typo on the very front cover of the book, so anyone who ordered their copy on the first day might be lucky enough to get an "exhilirating" book instead of an "exhilarating" one... and who knows, those first edition copies might be very valuable some day!
